Let’s get back to great storytelling. That’s what Dickens wanted. And did. One man, one stage, one hour. Well, Dickens had more than an hour, but we are happy with a good 60 minutes.
A Christmas Carol is one of our best loved and most enduring festive stories and it sums up the Christmas Spirit perfectly. The enthusiasm of its reception upon first print in 1843 has diminished very little and it is as popular as ever.
The friendly voice of the narrator makes the story perfectly suited to stage adaptation, as indeed are many of Charles Dickens’ stories. His own reading tours were wildly popular in their day and we are thrilled to present this one man version of A Christmas Carol again, after its success of the last few years.
